Curtain Up. Light the Lights.

Tonight in class Gregg mentioned that we should go ahead and start searching for people to talk to for our research projects.  He also said that finding directors to talk to was going to be much harder than finding anyone else.  Go figure.  Anyway, after just a little bit of research, I’d love to talk to Mary Zimmerman, Michael Kahn, Rebecca Taichman, Anne Kauffman and Howard Shalwitz, just to name a few.  Mr. Shalwitz is the artistic director of the Woolly Mammoth, and Mr. Kahn is the artistic director of the Shakespeare Theatre.  Ms. Zimmerman just directed Argonautika at the Shakespeare Theatre, and talking to her would be so amazing.  Hopefully I’ll be able to find contact information for them, and get in touch with them - after I write my speil, of course to make sure that I don’t sound like a dithering idiot.  I’m really excited about this, because now it really seems like things are going to happen.  We’ve started to give our research a face and name.  It’s starting to get shape.  This is really happening!
